uncrowded throughout the season - so you can really enjoy your ski vacation.
In fact, the mountain is so uncrowded that you'll often feel like you are on your
own private ski slope.
The community is nestled securely at the end of the road in a box canyon, and
surrounded by towering 14,000 ft. peaks densely blanketed in aspens. Telluride may be remote,
but that's part of its charm; the enclave-like setting is protected by its natural
environment, creating feelings of coziness. The gondola and ski-in,
ski-out environment of both the European style Mountain Village and quaint 19th
century mining town means little traffic, so even the kids can get around easily.
Always Close To The Slopes
Telluride's free, scenic gondola connects town,
Mountain Village and the slopes with ease from morning until midnight, so there's
no wrestling with tickets or crowding onto busses. Visitors enjoy a blissful ski-in,
ski-out experience from arrival to departure. Unlike other resorts, which require
a daily drive between town and mountain, you can park your car for the duration of
your stay in Telluride, or not bother to rent one when you fly in.
New Black Iron Bowl
Telluride's incredible terrain now includes eight new
runs of backcountry-style terrain adjacent to the breathtaking Prospect Bowl. Set
against the dramatic backdrop of Palmyra Peak on the western end of the
resort, Black Iron Bowl is both challenging and exceptionally beautiful.
Covering a full 1000 vertical feet, Black Iron Bowl's terrain includes the expansive
Mountain Quail couloir, European-style faces, open glades and steep chutes. Black Iron Bowl,
named for an old mining claim, is an excellent addition to the existing inbounds
hike-to areas of Bald Mountain and Prospect Ridge, where advanced skiers and
boarders enjoy fresh tracks virtually all season.

In addition to Telluride's manageable size, its peaceful
ambiance and easy going attitude remove all of the stress from the entire ski experience.
No crowds, no lines, no timetables, no hurrying, no pressure to adhere to the rules
